Ich bin Kai Matussik und betreibe ein Studio für Malerei und Zeichnung.
I am Kai Matussik and i am running a studio for painting & drawing.
Where are you from and where are you based now?
Geboren in Hamburg, aufgewachsen in Meerbusch bei Düsseldorf, wohne ich seit 10 Jahren in Konstanz am Bodensee.
Born in Hamburg, grown up in Meerbusch close to Düsseldorf, Germany, living now since 10 years in Konstanz at the lake of constanze.
What techniques/mediums do you use to create your art?
Ich arbeite mit Aquarell, Goachen und Acryllfarben, zeichne mit Bleistift oder einem Füller. Am Computer benutze ich ein Wacom Zeichenbrett
I am working with all kinds of watercolour and ink. For digital drawing & painting i use a wacomboard

What research do you do?
Früher habe ich viele Kunstmessen, Ausstellungen und Museen besucht. Heute bin ich mehr
im Internet und Bibliotheken.
A lot of time i spent visiting artfairs, exhibitions and museums. Today i look out of my windows and
around mainly in the worldwideweb.
What’s your background? Did you study art? What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Bin kurz zur See gefahren und hab alle möglichen Mcjobs gemacht. In Krefeld studierte ich Produkt-Design. In Düsseldorf habe ich in einer Kunstgalerie mitgearbeitet. Ein Atelier für Betonmöbel aufgebaut. Eine Online-Galerie betrieben. Internetzeichentrickfilme produziert. Als Koch für vegetarische vegane Restaurants gearbeitet...etc. Momentan arbeite ich wieder an Internetanimationen.
I studied product-design, did all kind of jobs. But my passion is concentrated on nasty drawings & paintings

Malen, modelieren und kochen.

Ich suche nach Motiven die als kleiner gemeinsamer Nenner Jeden berühren können, anregen
